The program helped the organization avoid the costly mistake of driving change prematurely, leading to reduced trust, increased resistance and regrettable talent loss.
Succession planning
We coached a COO nominated for CEO. He was respected for his consistent results, but not trusted due to specific unwelcome behaviors. Through a thorough needs assessment, 360-feedback and observations, our process revealed his hyper-formality—driven by fear of missteps and lack of curiosity for what others bring to the table. Through behavioral coaching, Tom shifted his behavior using daily actions. He built curiosity, patience and vulnerability into his communication, and won the senior leadership team’s support.
